Hi Form 4.
This week we will look at China immediately pre-and post- the 1911 Revolution, as well as finish our timeline and a map of China.
Here is the blank map: https://goo.gl/RGE3B3
Here is the timeline: https://goo.gl/fNJo3v
Here is a short slideshow on why studying China is important: https://goo.gl/o3yBhg
Homework this week:
1) Complete this worksheet (it is also in your booklet - please transcribe the answers to lined paper in your file so I can collect it without collecting in your whole booklet)
https://goo.gl/u96zSU (Spend 25-30 mins on this)
2) Complete this activity (also in your booklet). You need to produce a graph showing the relative decline and rise of each of the KMT and the CCP. That means you will need two lines on your graph, perhaps on ein blue for the KMT, and one in red for the CCP. It is subjective - you may decide to give the CCP 100% control in 1949, and the KMT 0% - or you may opt for 90% and 10%, as the KMT still held on to Taiwan. Most important is that you are making subjective conclusions, but based on evidence, and showing change over time. If there are any events you are unsure about, google them. Most events will be either a success or failure for one or both sides.
